Meet Gabriel
Born and raised on Ecuador’s coast, Gabriel Loor grew up surfing in Manta. He started competing in Ecuador’s junior surf circuit at a young age, while constantly exploring new waves and learning how swell, wind and tide affect different parts of the coast.
After finishing his degree in Business Administration in Guayaquil, that search for waves continued well beyond Ecuador. Over the years, he has surfed and traveled through destinations including Mexico, El Salvador, Portugal and Indonesia.
With 30 years of surfing experience and a guiding career that started in 2006, Gabriel brings local knowledge built through years in the water, both in Ecuador and abroad. That experience shapes the way Ecuador Surf Travel operates, together with a trusted team of local guides who know the coastline and conditions. The goal is simple: read the conditions, make the right call and put guests in the best waves possible while avoiding unnecessary crowds.
