Getting there
Fly into José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport (GYE) in Guayaquil, where we’ll pick you up. From there, it’s a three-hour drive to Ayampe — and depending on your arrival time, you could be surfing the same day!
WHAT TO EXPECT
Start the day with breakfast and get ready for the day’s surf call. Your guide will choose where and when to surf based on the conditions, with stops along the way at some of our favourite places to eat.
A STRATEGIC SURF BASE
We’re based in Ayampe, with quick access to point breaks, beach breaks and a wide range of waves along Ecuador’s coast. Your local surf guide uses daily conditions to decide where and when to go.
- Quick access to nearby point breaks and beach breaks
- 25+ surf spots within roughly two hours
- Montañita and other well-known waves are about 30 minutes south
- Powerful beach breaks and barrel opportunities can be found to the north
- Day trips toward Manta and Salinas are possible when the swell and forecast make the drive worthwhile
- Longer surf missions can include areas such as Playas when conditions line up
